We are...Penn State,

Woooo!  That's all I can say right now!  THON 2010 rocked on!  Penn State Fayette in it's 13th year, claimed another first place finish raising over $75,000!  Congratulations to our dancers, Audra, Autumn, Becky, Donya, Kelly, and Nick as well as the entire Penn State Fayette community for your extreme dedication and hard work.  We are so proud of you!

I know that I am so excited for THON 2011 already!

Until next time,

We are...Penn State!

I don't know about you, but my paws are not enjoying having to walk in this snow everyday!  A Nittany Lion sure loves to play in the snow, but not for this many weeks!

Anyway, just a few things to report to you all.  This Thursday, February 18 at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Center Auxiliary Gym will be the annual THON Send Off Dinner.  Tickets are only $10 and include a delicious pasta bar with many options to choose from.  On top of the food, come celebrate Penn State Fayette's 13th year of hard work raising money for pediatric cancer.  The night will be full of laughs, memories, stories, tears, and strength with the THON team, family, friends, alumni, faculty, and staff.   Tickets can be reserved by calling Chad Long at 724-430-4248 or by stopping in the Student Activities office in the Williams Building.

Lastly, the Student Activities Committee is sponsoring an event with the "Food Dude" on February 23 at 12:30 p.m. in Swimmer Hall.  The "Food Dude" will show ideal recipes for the college student or busy individual on the go.  Free samples will be available as he prepares tasty and healthy treats on the spot.  You won't want to miss this event!

Until next time,
Nittany

We Are...Penn State!

The 4th week of the semester is about to kick off!  I hope everyone is adapting to their new classes, making new friends, and enjoying their time on campus both in and out of the classroom.

Hopefully you have picked up the green Student Activities Brochure for 2010.  Inside, you will find all of the upcoming activities from CEO Conversations, Coffeehouses, Club Competitions, and all kinds of novelty, cultural, and entertainment events.  Coming up on Thursday, February 4 is the Bon Jovi/Journey cover band known as Bon-Journey.  The concert gets underway at 7:00 p.m. in the Maggie Hardy Magerko Auditorium at the Community Center.  Guess what?  It's free for students :)  As a lion, I really like free!  If you want to bring somebody that is not a student at Penn State Fayette, don't worry, it's only $5.00!  Tickets will be available at the door so make sure you arrive early!  Bring your cameras, too!

Throughout the remainder of the semester, I would like to leave you with some words of wisdom: "If you want to see the difference, be the difference!"

Until next time,
Nittany
