I was born in Australia, where I was brought up bilingual in Japanese and English. I lived in Japan for three years during elementary school, and in 1994 moved to the United States. As an undergraduate I studied abroad in Mexico and in Costa Rica for 7 and 5 weeks, respectively.

I am currently a lecturer of Japanese at the Pennsylvania State University. I have conferred an M.A. in Spanish (Linguistics), a B.S. in Applied Spanish and a B.S. in World Languages Education (Spanish Option) and am also certified K-12 Spanish Education in the state of Pennsylvania.

A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.
