Advising Appointment Information

1.  For students assigned to me, go to this web site: http://www.aa.psu.edu/studavise to set up an appointment.

2. For students not assigned to me, please call the DUS office at 949-5281, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, or come to C112 Smith Building during those hours.  My appointment times are about 30 minutes long and usually begin at 9am, with a break from 12pm to 1:30pm, and appointment continue from 1:30pm to 4pm.

If you are not assigned to me as your academic advisor, you will need to call the Advising Center at (814) 949-5281 or (814) 949-5084 between the hours of 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, to have a staff assistant assist you with scheduling an appointment.

To prepare for your appointment with your advisor, you can utilize eLion's "Advising Preparation" link to help you determine your questions to ask an advisor.  If your appointment is dealing with selection of courses for an upcoming semester or summer session, please request a degree audit on eLion to help you and the academic advisor determine the appropriate courses for the upcoming semesters or summer sessions.  Since the majority of you are enrolled in DUS or a Penn State University's college, you will need  to select "Alternative" on eLion's Degree Audit program to find the appropriate majors and you can request more than one degree audit if you are exploring more than on major.  Please check out the links on my home page as well to help you with your decision-making process.
