Sweet AND Salty

This was an interesting idea...a sweet and salty honey and salted peanut cupcake. I had some serious issues with the recipe that was posted though. The recipe called for the cupcakes to be in the oven for 22 minutes, but after only 10, they totally needed to come out, and when tested the toothpick was completely dry. I even got complaints that they tasted a little dry. So, I am not sure if my oven is WAY off or if the recipe is, I guess I will have to invest in an oven thermometer. Also...the frosting recipe, while delicious, only made enough to barely cover half of the cupcakes, and I followed directions precisely. I have no idea what that is all about.
I'll have to wait and here feedback from the people about whether this is one recipe to keep, or if I should just toss it.
If you ate one....let me know.

If the Take 5 has taught us anything, it's that salty and sweet are meant to be together. I thought this cupcake was great, and didn't notice any dryness at all.

Liked the subtle honey flavor as well.

I liked them a lot. Maybe a shot of jalepeño jelly inside next time? Salty. Sweety. And spicey.

Jalepeno jelly?! what an interesting and wonderful idea. I am incredibly curious as to how that would taste. Dave, you are endlessly full of fantastic ideas.
