I made these very sweet, very chocolatey cupcakes for my friends at work. The cupcakes were chocolate almond, and the frosting was a vanilla buttercream.
I used my favorite chocolate cake recipe from other posts, and added some almond flour and almond extract. YUM!
They were killer!

these were awesome, very flavorful. I tried to pick up the almond, but I'm not sure I got it. But regardless the cake was great.
I also appreciated the relatively low-key V-day look; a couple of red sprinkles. No red hots, candy hearts, etc.
