·       Growing thermodynamically and kinetically controlled amorphous oxide thin films of ZrO2, Ta2O5, Nb2O5 and their laminates through reactive magnetron sputtering

·       Studying the effect of both intrinsic and extrinsic factors such as sputtering parameters, plasma characteristics, crystal and interface structures on the dielectric properties, charge transport and dielectric breakdown

Vanadium oxide thin films for microbolometers:                                                                               (Summer 05)

·       Aimed to prepare semi-conductive vanadium oxide thin films with V:O ratio to be 1:1.8

·       Awarded the “Innovation Potential of Students Projects 2003” Indian national award from the Indian National Academy of Engineers (INAE) for my senior year dissertation titled, "Experimental and Theoretical Study of Microwave and Conventional Sintered Bronze"

·       Awarded the best senior year dissertation of 2003 Materials and Metallurgical Engineering at IIT, Kanpur, India
