12/2000 – 8/2001

Software Development, GHR Systems, Inc., Wayne, PA 19087, USA

Sr. Computer Scientist (Full-time)

·         Developed and debugged eNtelligenceTM Premier Net. Premier Net is an interactive web-based network for mortgage applications. Active Server Page (ASP), DCOM were used as the main technology, while SQL server was used as the data warehouse and IIS as the web server. DHTML, JavaScript, XML, and VBScript were also used as programming languages.

·         Designed eNtelligenceTM Call Center. By combining the telephony techniques with the Internet technology, Call Center adds additional Customer Relationship Management (CRM) supports to improve customer satisfactions.

·         Engineered enterprise data models; performed DBA (SQL server) duties.

1/2000 – present

Department of Computing Science, Villanova University, Villanova, PA 19085

Adjunct Faculty (Part-time)

·         Teaching graduate level courses in the evening (e.g., Computer Organization, Distributed Systems).

·         Advising M.S. students’ independent studies and projects (M.S. Thesis).

3/1999 – 12/2000

Factory Systems Division, Kulicke & Soffa Industries, Inc., Willow Grove, PA

Software Development Team Leader / System Architect (Full-time)

·         Researched on information systems implementation strategy for the Semiconductor Industry. An open-system architecture used in the Semiconductor Industry was proposed. Designed a component-based factory system solution through information management, system control, and material transport networks. Manufacturing execution system, production plan and control, and system control were well modularized for ease of integration.

·         Worked on LotManagerTM information system, which manages, controls, and tracks semiconductor manufacturing facilities and production. Oracle server, SQL server, Visual Basic, ActiveX, COM/DCOM, Visual C++/MFC, TCP/IP socket, and ADO were used as developing tools.

·         Designed and implemented two LotManagerTM web applications (IIS vs. J2EE). ASP and Java Server Page (JSP) were the mainly deployed technologies. SQL server, Oracle, JDBC, Servlet, ADO, VB script, JAVA, and JAVA script were used in the applications.

·         Scheduled and coordinated projects.

7/1996 – 3/1999

Factory Systems Division, Kulicke & Soffa Industries, Inc., Willow Grove, PA

Sr. Software Engineer (Full-time)

·         Developed a generic cell controller KNETTM using a real time database, network, C/C++, and Tcl/Tk. An NT-based cell controller for a group of IC packaging equipment was successfully released. The controller included four major function modules: control, statistics, material management, and recipe management.

·         Built a generic equipment module (GEM) based on Semiconductor Industry Standards. A GEM could be used as a generic interface between a computer host and a piece of GEM compliant equipment or embedded into a controller as a GEM interface.
