Old Business

1.

Bike Show-Kim- went over P&L statement for the event, profited $527.76, which includes $200 from the 50/50 for BikePAC, thank you Sue Santoro for donating winnings back; had approx. 130 guests; incurred higher costs this year in order to add to the event and build upon for next year; consider being on the Bike Show committee next year; motion by Kim to donate all Bike Show profits to BikePAC fund, seconded by Mike R, motion passes

2.

Bike Raffle/Grange Fair- Grange is our biggest raffle ticket selling event; Mule has a table we can use, Brian has lights, Mike had drag cords and trailer to haul and store raffle bike, chapter now has a canopy to use; Rachael-return and sold and unsold raffle tickets to the fair booth

3.

Officer Nominations- consider running or nominating anyone you think would make a good officer, final nominations at October meeting

4.

Toy Run-Joel B- very rainy day but had 10 bikes and several cars, still raised $1057 and 40 toys; Hal is retiring as chair of the committee, Joel is taking over, please consider joining next year’s committee; read a thank you note from Hal

New Business ideas

1.

State Newsletter- the state is spending a lot of money to send out the newsletter and is looking for ways to cut costs, who would be interested in receiving an e-copy of the newsletter instead of a hard copy in the mail? Vote taken-about half would be willing to receive an e-copy; please notify the state office if you are receiving duplicate copies now

2.

Bellefonte Cruise-Pat McCool from PAMP is on the Cruise committee and asked if CLR could run the bike show part of the Cruise, judging and games, there will be 5 bike games with a $100 cash prize for each winner; they will treat us as a $2000 sponsor at no charge, including us in all advertising and promotions if we do it; Curt-opens us up to PR, both positive and negative, potential criticism because people are often unhappy with the judging, Mule- ABATE members may not be able to have their bikes judged to avoid conflicts; no decision made and no committee formed at this time

3.

Octoberfest- will happen following Oct. meeting, potluck-everyone bring a covered dish; can have it at Mule’s or at Kenny’s, motion made

4.

MOM- Don Granite!  Congratulations Don!  You were an incredible help at the Bike Show, volunteering to work almost the whole show at the gate, products table and security, then you did a lot of the dirty clean up jobs the next day; thank you for volunteering for the treasury audit, too!  We appreciate you and look forward to working with you more!
