Lobby Day-Curt- Radar and Curt attended from CLR; approx 80 members from around the state showed up at the Capital; primary agenda this year was to support Rep. Scott Perry’s bill making trike kits legal; they were shuttled to the Capital from the ABATE office, Popcorn provided sloppy joes and sides; Radar-Jake Corman was not there but they did speak with his Chief of Staff; Steen-35 Reps have signed on to support the bill so far, they are shooting for 75; Rep Kortz is sponsoring HB1340 to make Harley Davidson the official motorcycle of PA; thank you to Curt and Radar for attending Lobby Day

Old Business

1.

Bike Show-Kim-date has been changed from July 16th to July 30th; we will be doing t-shirts with sponsors again this year to raise money; one ticket price of $15 this year will include food, beverages, camping and all events the day of the show, first 100 people pre-registered will get a free t-shirt; pig roast again; have a DJ lined up and still making decision about other possible entertainment options; we have the Legion grounds from Friday night until Sunday; due to security and liability concerns the event will be 21 and over again this year, having keg beer available would require that the taps be monitored constantly, wrist band options were considered but there is still a risk that those under 21 could be supplied with alcohol, volunteers for security would have the responsibility to monitor this and the beer taps, we did not have enough volunteers for security last year, so in order to mitigate the liability and responsibility the event will be 21 and over; no pets

2.

Bike Raffle-Jody-plan to have the bike at the Wild Dream Team Softball Tourney and sell tickets; tickets are in, sign them out with Brian or Rachael; Ride to Dubois HD to pay for the bike will meat at Sheetz on Valley Vista Dr Fri 4/22 at 1:00pm

3.

CPR-Mule-Bill is recovering from open heart surgery, CPR certification will be rescheduled

4.

Wild Dream Team-sign up sheet passed around to sign up for concession stand duty at the softball tourney fund raiser; tourney to be held May 7th & 8th at Baileyville from 8am-4pm both days

5.

BikePAC Poker Tournament-Mule-will be held at Centre Hall Legion Post 779 on May 14th at 2:00pm; committee meeting following today’s meeting

6.

New Business ideas

1.

May & June meetings- Post 779 will be closed on May 21st, which would be our normal mtg day, can move mtg to May 14th, motion made; our June mtg would be the 18th, but that is Hazen weekend, can move mtg to the 11th, motion made;

2.

MRF Membership- our membership expired 4/20/11, need to decide if we want to renew, cost is $100

3.

ABATE Dues Increase- state membership dues will increase by $5 per person beginning in June, so an individual membership will be $30 and couple’s will be $50; ABATE is looking for a way to increase revenue, some drains on income are life memberships; Radar-reimbursements to volunteers is sucking up money; John H-you get what you pay for, need to spend some money if they want a quality organization, we throw money at all sorts of causes, we should reimburse our volunteers for the work they do; Steen-maybe we need to get rid of dead weight within the organization; Worm-junior memberships have been extended to age 20

4.

Pick up of raffle bike- we’d like to make a group ride if possible to Dubois HD to pick up the bike, would like to do it before the softball tourney; Ride scheduled for Friday April 22, 1:00pm at the Sheetz on Valley Vista

5.

MOM Ts and products budget- last year we gave Jody $120 for the products budget to cover the MOM Ts, motion made

6.

MOM- our April MOM is GEORGE FYE!  Always a pleasant, smiling face, volunteers for security at events, congratulations George!!!

7.

Radar-any other interesting topics at the Board Mtg? Mule- chapter needs to send $100 to state for Hazen security detail, dues increase, vote on state flag; one funny thing, we’ve never been cited at a Board Mtg for being delinquent with any of our chapter business, Peggy said that Cathy’s bond form was not sent in but it was, it’s all cleared up,
