OSAL- OSAL Ts are at PAMP getting the road sign print added; Diane Shaw of the Chinklacamoose Chapter wrote the grant request to get funding to produce the OSAL video, will be sent to PennDOT, MSF & Dept of Transportation; Harry Sherman of the Dept of Education is reviewing the submitted paperwork to have OSAL added to school curriculum, review should be complete this week

Webmaster- updated info includes meeting info through February, food bank donation, certificate from Reedshaw Raiders & 2011 Officers (need emails for new officers); if you notice an error on the site contact MoonDog; MD created a web page with information about how to protect your PC, there is a link on the chapter site

                                   

Old Business

 

1.

Christmas Party-Kim-no new updates; party will be Saturday January 15th immediately following the 4:00pm meeting, cost $15 prior to Dec 31st, $20 thereafter or at the door, includes buffet, keg of beer, sodas, cash bar; guests welcome

2.

Van for Vets-Steve- a date for the presentation of the check has not yet been determined, will report when finalized; would like any veterans from the chapter to attend

3.

Business cards-Mule-cards are here for all chapter members, please take some to give out to prospective members or leave at Gold/Platinum Star Supporters so they know we’re supporting them with our business

4.

L&L-Mule- if you haven’t already, get your hotel room reserved; dates are Jan 21-22

5.

Audit-Mule- we need volunteers for a treasury and a products audit, 3 for each audit; Products volunteers- Mike R, Steve L, Ross B; Treasury volunteers- Cathy B, Bill A, Rachael F

New Business ideas

 

1.

Bike Raffle-Mule- raffling a bike has been our primary fundraiser, do we want to raffle a bike this year?; motion made & passed to raffle a bike, committee formed, Rachael F, Cathy B, Ross B, Steve L, Keith M, will ask Jody if he wants to chair the cmt; Rachael-even small events are good opportunities to sell tickets, sold almost 100 at Rides & Rods last year; Bill A- suggested eliminating the 2nd & 3rd prizes of $500 & $250 respectively; Mule- Mick at Dubois HD is willing to buy the bike back so we can offer the grand prize cash option like we did last year; Kim- what about having CLRs at the swap meet in Harrisburg to sell tickets, Radar-contact Blue Mtn chapter about volunteering to help them with their booth at the swap meet, Steve L will make that contact

2.

BikePAC-Mule- we have $453 in our BikePAC fund so far, we will be presenting a check at L&L, still have the Jan mtg and Basket of Cheer raffle that will add to that total; passed the hat & raised $30 tonight for a new total of $483

3.

Poker Run benefitting Parkinson’s Disease-Kelsey Wasson, daughter of member TJ Wasson and Penns Valley HS senior, presented information about her graduation project for school, her grandfather suffered with Parkinson’s for 31 years before he passed away; her project is in the very beginning stages, it will be on Saturday May 21st, cost will probably be $15 per rider & $10 per passenger, there will be door prizes and a meal at the end, probably ending at the Wasson Farm (a Gold Star Supporter); Kelsey requested help with attendance and PR, Steve L offered to help with PR and will meet with Kelsey to go over some details; Kelsey will return to a future meeting with updates regarding her progress

4.

HIPPA discussion-MoonDog- questioned how HIPPA has become a motorcycling issue; Radar- explained that insurance companies can avoid reimbursement for injuries sustained during “high risk” activities

5.

State Flag-Hal- Kevin has artwork and will narrow down the choices during at the board mtg
