Chapter presented at the Juniata Valley Senior Citizens Center on 7/27 |

District
Rep-John attended Cambria Summit mtg last Wed; Jacks Mtn Chapter is still
functioning-want to make their chapter work; at the recent Grand Board mtg,
Lynn Wesley made a motion to allow colors at Hazen, saying it was
discrimination to not allow them, motion was voted down, Hal-Lynn’s vote was
the only one in support of her motion, John Hall-if the issue is brought up
again, it must be under old business; Radar-Hazen is a private party, absence
of colors is to avoid conflicts and police intrusion, Natalie-is there a way
to for general membership to voice opinions to the state officers; general
consensus at this mtg supported no colors at Hazen |

includes $201 for BikePac; MANY thanks to all who helped pull it together:

with supplies and set-up; Curt for staying up all night to make the best pig
ever; Mule for helping all day long with anything that needed to be done; and
to the committee, Sandy-sponsors, Steve-advertising like crazy, Danny-making
an awesome flyer and running around all day, Bill-kicking butt on getting
sponsors and selling tickets, Kenny-FOR HAVING THE IDEAS AND VISION TO CREATE
AN AWESOME BIKE SHOW AND A FOUNDATION TO BUILD ON FOR FUTURE EVENTS!!;
suggestions made: Nick-can we include under 21 for at least part of the
event, Vicky-no dogs |
|

Toy
Run-55 bikes, 77 riders attended (down from last year), raised $1239, 270
toys and had 70+ door prizes (all up from last year), 30 attended the pig
roast following the ride, which came to $305 collected; $17 was collected at
the pig roast to go to Joel toward the beer; thanks to Marie Haywood &
Tony Ricardi from Forever for doing the live remote; thanks to Chris &
Patti from Extreme for hosting and for splitting the cost of the live remote
($375 total) with the Salvation Army; thanks to Shirley Snyder/Mountain
Valley Diner for a great meal, Nick & Sally for coordinating, Nick for
the route, Brick for making copies, releases and donating the beer ($74),
Steve for PR, Tim & Colleen for collecting a lot of toy donations,
Natalie for organizing toys & donations, Vicky & Captain for staying
behind for set-up & tear-down, Law Dogs and volunteers for traffic
control, Mule Nick and Bill A for helping set-up, Patti and Helena for
opening up that day; if you have put up any posters or signs for the Toy Run,
please collect them; Mule-suggestion
was made to give the $100 deposit given to Shirley back to her, Curt made
motion to give Shirley the $100 deposit, seconded by George, motion passed;
Natalie-maybe ride over as a group to the Mtn Valley Diner to drop off the
check; discussion about disappointment over low turn-out from the chapter,
Steen-some had to work or had other obligations, Radar-attendance is a
problem all over; lengthy discussion about whether or not this is an official
Centre Line Riders event, was determined that it is not an official CLR
event, it is a Salvation Army event supported by CLR, Law Dogs and Mended
Wings, Joel-there is a legal issue between “sponsored by” and “supported by”,
supported by means no liability at the event; lengthy discussion ensued about
conflicts between past and current officers, John Hall made a motion to drop
the subject, was not seconded; |
