Old Business

 

1.

Bike Show-Kim-volunteers needed today, please see Kim after the meeting if you can help out; Curt-Thanks to Steve LaMar who did a fantastic job advertising for the Bike Show!

2.

Toy Run-Hal-Hal did a half hour morning show on WRSC morning program with Pat & Kevin; Capt. Chuck will be doing a radio spot 8am Tuesday to promote the run; Thanks to Nick & Sally of the committee and the Mountain Valley Diner for doing the pig roast; Brick is donating a keg for the after party, thank you! ; Thanks to Extreme, Kissel’s, 2-3-4 Motorsports, Best Line and Track-n-Trail for their support!; Law Dogs will need help with traffic control; the BUS (Forever Broadcasting) might do a live remote for the Toy Run; Thanks to Nick Antanuccio for creating the ride; donations are still needed, Natalie handed out flyers

Rolling Thunder ride-Hal-Thanks to Sherry Minarchick for doing a great job with traffic control; nice ride, great turn-out

4.

Spikes Ride-Mule-4 chapter members participated, raised over $1000 for Cancer Survivors; Danny-might want to pass along to the Spikes that it was difficult to find info about the event on their website

5.

Hazen-Curt- what happens at Hazen stays at Hazen so if you want to know what happened at Hazen, you need to go; special thanks to John Knarr for the awesome set-up that makes it fun for everybody!

6.

Bellefonte Cruise-Jody-great weather and great turn-out for the Cruise; sold over 30 bike raffle tickets Friday evening and over 200 on Saturday; pictures are on Chuck Carroll’s website chuckcarrollphotography.com

7.

Mustang Sally’s-Danny-18 bikes went; stopped at Bill’s Old Biker Barn before heading to Mustang Sally’s for biker appreciation day; smooth travel

Make-A-Wish Ride-Mike-39 bikes attended

BuBois MDA Ride-Jody-200+ bikes attended; many door prizes; well organized

Paul Lyons Ride-John K-25-30 bikes attended

 

New Business ideas

 

1.

Grange Fair-Mule-our biggest event for selling bike raffle tickets; need volunteers to man the booth; will have sign-up sheets at next meeting

2.

Bike Show Audit will be done prior to the start of the Aug meeting, volunteers show up early, Kenny, Sandy, George, Thank you!

3.

October Fest will be Oct 16th, committee formed: Kenny Wasson, Danny Saville, Dan Piper; Steve L-where will it be? Probable location will be Kenny’s as last year; liability issues were discussed due to the presence of alcohol, might hire a bartender who has insurance; Chuck-what about a liability insurance policy for the event? Too costly, would be $450 for the day; Mike-have attendees sign waivers; Swimmer-definitely have attendees sign waivers; Speed-signed waivers were upheld in court for the Tour d’Toona; Kathy-we are the Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward EDUCATION-let’s not get trashed and drive!

Christmas Party-Date will be January 15th, 2011; Committee formed: Jane & Steve LaMar, Curt Stump, Kimberly Volb, Rachael Focht

Thunder on the Mountain-8/20, KSU 10:00 at former Roadhouse; Hal-nice ride and party in Coudersport; Swimmer-6 years ago it was about 600 people, now over 1000, good party

Sara Love ride-7/31, Pine Grove Mills VFW, registration 10-12; passed the hat for a donation for Sara, collected $200!!
