Welcome to my electronic portfolio! My name is Garrett Miller, and I'm presently a freshman in The Pennsylvania State University's College of Information Sciences and Technology.
I'm originally from a small town in northwest PA called Conneaut Lake. I recently graduated from Conneaut Lake High School in June 2007, and am currently pursuing a degree in Information Sciences and Technology (IST) from Penn State University, paired with a minor in Security and Risk Analysis (SRA).
I have a diverse array of interests, which include, but are not limited to a particular fascination with all aspects of information technology, particularly those pertaining to its effects on society as a whole. This is why I found my niche at Penn State's College of IST, which offers an eclectic blend of technical, business, and information sciences training to prepare graduates for the rapidly changing sociotechnical economic environment. It is this interdisciplinary approach to learning that allows IST to build "leaders for the digital global economy."
