THE HOMOSEXUAL INDOCTRINATION OF OUR YOUTH

"Heterosexism is the institutionalized form of discrimination against gay, lesbian, or bisexual people. Heterosexism is the ideological system that denies, denigrates, and stigmatizes any non-heterosexual form of behavior, identity, relationship or community. Heterosexism assumes that the only valid and legitimate forms of sex, love, and affection, is with someone of the opposite sex."

Note, the above "verbal engineering" is typical of homosexual activists who attempt to marginalize any who dare to disagree with the concept of sexual perversion as an alternative lifestyle. It is the creed of the scheduled speakers on homosexual issues to a State College Area School District (SCASD) teachers in-service in January as documented in Penn State publications. It betrays the real motives of militant homosexual activists who are quick to categorize all in opposition as "homophobic", "hateful", "uncharitable", "intolerant" and/or "insensitive" in order to get public sympathy for their distorted views.

The SCASD by legitimizing homosexuality as a "diversity" concern becomes the latest to follow the gay/lesbian agenda of the National Education Association. The NEA's Human & Civil Rights Action Sheet (marked with the NEA logo) sets forth the plans to change classroom instruction, counseling programs, libraries, school-wide events, in-service training, and attitudes. It's blunt recommendations to teachers are:

  • Work with the school district, the parent-teacher organization, and community groups to provide information to other members, parents, and counselors about the developmental and health needs of gay, lesbian, and bisexual students.

  • Provide training to enable selected staff to become resources to members on gay, lesbian, and bisexual student issues.

  • Recommend to the school district that in-service programs address gay, lesbian, and bisexual concerns; and that the library include positive learning materials about gays, lesbians, and bisexuals.

  • Encourage the establishment and maintenance of peer support and community self-help programs for gay, lesbian, and bisexual students.

  • Work with the school district to develop or expand school policy and curricula, including accurate portrayals of gays, lesbians, and bisexuals throughout history, and to ensure respect for diversity, including gays, lesbians, and bisexuals.

  • Participate in coalitions to improve support and services for gay, lesbian, and bisexual students.

For several years, "diversity" has been the code word for the gay/lesbian agenda. A one-word change in the Diversity resolution this year is significant and telling. Last year's resolution said that "education should increase tolerance." This year, "tolerance" was changed to "acceptance." One of the handouts boasted: "Diversity is the word and acceptance is the order."

The NEA Gay Lesbian Caucus (NEA-GLC) celebrated its 10th anniversary this year. Prior to 1987, the handful of gays who attended the NEA convention caucused under the name "Ichabod Crane Debating Society." One of the delegates in Atlanta commented, "In the '70s you couldn't even mention the words 'gay' or 'homosexual' without getting booed off the [convention] floor."

They've come a long way since then. The NEA-GLC newsletter boasted: "NEA Board hosts GLC leaders." The NEA-GLC's headline attraction in Atlanta was Candace Gingrich, lesbian sister of Newt. She spoke at the caucus dinner on July 5 and was one of the personalities featured in a video shown at noon on the Fourth of July.

At another lesbian caucus, the big feature was a 90-minute video entitled "It's Elementary: Teaching About Gay Issues in School." This video shows how psychological manipulation in the classroom can be used to change children's home-taught attitudes and beliefs about homosexuality. Under the exaggerated pretense of "gay-bashing" in the public schools with the need to insure that children showing homosexual tendencies are not abused via name-calling, this same video will be shown to SCASD teachers by a militant homosexual activist from Penn State.

The NEA-GLC was not the only gay/lesbian caucus at the Atlanta convention. The Gay, Lesbian & Straight Teachers Network (GLSTN) advertised book and video lists and internet resources, and the NEA Peace & Justice Caucus promoted the video "It's Elementary," calling it "masterful."

Meanwhile not to worry, homosexual advocates in the SCASD tell us that "indoctrination" is not their agenda.

An investigation via a computer search engine into papers published by two of the scheduled speakers at the District in-service showed upwards of 200 hits solely on pro-homosexual positions. Some of these projects/papers which stand out are: "Lesbians and Gay Men on Campus, Visibility, Empowerment, and Educational Leadership", Peabody J. of Educ. 66(3), 124-142, Queer Youth Study Wants Participants (March 1996), "A national research project on issues faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered youths is being conducted by a psychologist at Penn State University. The research is conducted from a lgbt-affirming perspective." (The last statement betrays the bias of the study), and finally one of the speakers is prominently referenced in something called MEN WHO HAVE SEX WITH MEN IN THE BUSH: Impediments to the Formation of Gay Communities in Some Rural Areas, Richard Roberts.

What was evident in the above examination was the glaring lack of statements on the risks of living as opposed to leaving the homosexual lifestyle. This is not unusual since such truths must be suppressed by activists to gain acceptance in public forums.

The facts are that AIDS was originally known as GRID, "gay-related immune disorder." This name reflected the fact that in Europe, America, and Asia, AIDS was then - as it remains today - dramatically disproportionate among male homosexuals. In the ten years before bright young men began turning up in major medical centers with alarming purple splotches and rare infections, the scientific literature showed a startling increase in gay-related conditions: hepatitis B causing sometimes liver collapse, and bowel parasites causing systemic infections rare outside the homosexual community. GRID was politically incorrect, however, as the gay community mobilized swiftly to insure that GRID would not be perceived be either the medical profession or the public as in any way related directly to their sexual way of life. AIDS replaced GRID because, under the right conditions, the virus is transmissible to anyone although the connection to homosexuality is universally understood to be valid. Medical literature and the most recent statistics from the Center for Disease Control (HIV/AIDS Surveillance Reports) show that homosexuality by well over 2 to 1 remains the major risk factor for AIDS in the U.S. The fact that homosexual male intercourse and promiscuity created the American reservoir for HIV (the pathogen that causes AIDS) and which continues to preserve it quickly became an "unspeakable truth."

Thirty percent of all 20-year old gay men will be HIV positive or dead of AIDS by the time they are 30 with the approximately 1.4 percent of the adult population made up of homosexual males accounting for about 30 percent of all AIDS cases. The incidence of AIDS among twenty to thirty-year old homosexual men is roughly 430 times greater than among the heterosexual population at large. [Satinover, HOMOSEXUALITY AND THE POLITICS OF TRUTH].

In such places as sub-Saharan Africa where there is an intersection of homosexual and nonhomosexual circles, the HIV virus has spread uniformly with alarming speed as reported recently by CNN. AIDS Projects like to talk in terms of these specialized "third world statistics" which show that the majority of people infected with AIDS worldwide are not homosexual. This should not be news given that male homosexuals comprise such a small fraction of the world's population and is an attempt to obscure the powerful statistical connection between AIDS and homosexuality.

It is also not news that homosexual behavior leads to problems far beyond homosexual groups themselves with the documented increase of heterosexual AIDS because of the fallacy of "safe" and/or "safer" sex due to condom rate failures as a result of bisexual intercourse, drug use (the next highest cause of AIDS after homosexual sex), and blood transfusions. Medical specialists have known for some time of the disproportionate impact on the homosexual community of diseases like gonorrhea, syphilis, hepatitis A and B, cytomegalovirus, amoebic bowel disease ("gay bowel syndrome"), and herpes.

A decade's measurement of "gay rights" laws which have been in effect in San Francisco show that the city has seen a sharp increase in the venereal disease rate to 22 times the national average; hepatitis A and B increased 100 and 300 % respectively; amoebic colon infections increased 2,500 %. Venereal disease clinics in the city saw 75,000 patients every year of whom close to 80 % were homosexual males; 20 % of them carried rectal gonorrhea. [Magnuson, ARE GAY RIGHTS RIGHT?].

The American Psychiatric Association's vote to normalize homosexuality was driven by politics not science. Even sympathizers acknowledged this. Satinover presents the details of the hijacking of the APA by homosexual activists who purchased the APA membership list after the National Gay Task Force (NGTF) sent out a fund-raising appeal to their membership. Activists then covertly lobbied the APA by sending out a letter to the entire thirty thousand membership calling for a change in homosexual classification without acknowledging the central role that the NGTF played in this effort which, per one signer's admission privately, would have been the "kiss of death." A majority of the APA members who responded voted to support the change in classification (by a vote of 6-4, hardly a ringing endorsement) of homosexuality as "not a psychiatric disorder." But in fact only one-third of the membership did respond. (Four years later the journal MEDICAL ASPECTS OF HUMAN SEXUALITY reported on a survey it conducted. The survey showed that 69 percent of psychiatrists disagreed with the vote and still considered homosexuality a disorder.) "The result was not a conclusion based upon an approximation of the scientific truth as dictated by reason, but was instead an action demanded by the ideological temper of the times." [Bayer, HOMOSEXUALITY AND AMERICAN PSYCHIATRY: THE POLITICS OF DIAGNOSIS].

Two years later the American Psychological Association following the questionable lead of the APA voted to follow suit.

Twenty years later, militant homosexual activists were defeated in an attempt to make it a violation of professional conduct for a psychiatrist to help a homosexual patient become heterosexual EVEN AT THE PATIENT'S REQUEST. Had the change been approved, it would have opened the door to malpractice suits and ethics charges against psychiatrists who help homosexuals change - in accord with the patients own wishes, one of the association's own professional standards. The chairman of the APA Gay and Lesbian Task Force made it clear that the activists had in their sights not only psychiatrists who undertook reparative therapy, but eventually psychologists, social workers, and even pastoral counselors and ministers.

In the State College Area Pennsylvania School District these same militant homosexual activists are going to be speaking to our teachers with one and only one goal in mind, to insure acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle on the part of our youth. In light of the facts above, I submit that this action on the part of the district is unconscionable.
