My father and mother both love their
coffee.  Since I was
little I remember them drinking
coffee all the time.  Now
with my brother
and I grown, they go out a lot more often than they used to and they
have now
discovered drinking Espresso and Cappuccino.
I am not a big coffee person, I drink it occasionally but
I have never
even tried Espresso or Cappuccino.
My
mother went to a friend’s house for lunch one afternoon and
came home raving
about how they had a machine right in their house that could make
Espresso and
Cappuccino.  She said it tasted even
better that the one’s that she has gotten in even the best
restaurants.  Well,
she is a really hard person to buy a
gift for so I decided to go online and buy her an espresso and
cappuccino maker
of her own.  I came
across a web site
that had just what I was looking for.

The name of the machine is the Rancilio
silvia
espresso and cappuccino
machine, and as soon as I saw it I knew this would be the perfect
machine to
buy for my parents.  As
far as I can tell
this company Rancilio
has made a machine that does it all, and with ease.
The machine is heavy duty, modeled after the
machines that they have in restaurants, but geared more towards the
home, they
have made this model that literally does whatever you want it to do.

All the controls for this machine are located right on the
face including a small indicator light on the switch making you aware
when the
machine is on.  There
is a switch that
you just move back and forth to change the machine from brewing
espresso, hot
water (useful for making a regular cup of coffee or even tea), and
steam.  The steam
feature is probably the coolest of
all the features.  It
produces steam that
works beautifully for stretching milk for cappuccinos or for lattes.  Better yet, the steaming
wand is very simply
designed for easy wipe off and cleans up easily.

Well, on the day I gave this to my mother, she was so
thrilled that she hooked it up and made me drink my very first cup of
cappuccino and it was honestly quite good.
It was a lot smoother than regular coffee and I really
enjoyed the
flavor of it.  I
will be sure to try an
espresso the next time I go over there.
