personal-injury-attorney
The semester has started once again and I am totally ready to put
my break behind me. It didn't start off bad, but
when I met my
first New
York personal injury attorney, it was all down hill from
there.
I was going to New York on the twenty-seventh to
get settled in
before the madness of New Years eve. The drive from
Pittsburgh to New
York City was just beautiful. It had snowed on Christmas eve
and all of
the areas where there are no houses were like mystical
visions of a
different planet. I was actually a little
disappointed when I began to see
the houses popping up and then the skyline just flushed with
humanity.
The feeling didn't hang around for long because there were
about
ten million people traveling down the same road all thinking
they were
beating the New Year's rush by coming early. Even
though the roads
were packed from all sides, people still drove in the typical
city style
of just forgetting all traffic laws and fighting for space.
While I was
merging on to a new section of highway, a car tried to
squeeze in to a
space about half its size. All I heard was a huge
crunch and the front
end of my car went flying out to the right hitting the car to
my
right.
The next two days, instead of being about parties
and champagne,
were all about accident
attorneys and looking for a personal
injury lawyer in New York.
In had never thought about how you
handle a car accident where you have to visit the hospital.
While I sat
in the triage to get stitches, the nurse handed me a sheet
listing a
good injury
attorney as well as a long list of various kinds of New
York
attorneys. When I flipped it over it was
all about New
York accident
laws which, though important to my situation, were
so dry that I just
couldn't read them for a minute. The doctor in the
ER talked my ear
off about how I shouldn't let his slip, which I was prone to
do, but I
should get a car
accident lawyer right away and sue the pants off of
the other driver. I just wanted to get to bed and forget
about the whole
thing.
In the morning I began my search for two people;
an accident
attorney, and an injury
attorney. Luckily for me, there was no difference
between the two in the phone book. I chose a New York
personal injury
lawyer and told him to just deal with the whole
thing for me. I wanted
to have as little to do with the situation as possible.
