Research Interests

• Cognitive Neuroscience: I use the event-related potentials to measure the brain's activity as it processes information. Specific projects I have worked on include:
  • Individual differences in the processing of non-literal language
  • Cognitive changes related to normal aging
  • Implicit memory and attention in Alzheimer's disease
  • Processing deficits in reading disabilities
• Technology and Teaching: Another area of research that I've been involved in is the use of computers and technology in teaching. The psychology faculty here at Behrend developed a program to teach observational research methods.
