A check "a" beside a category means the work is satisfactory. If "X," then more work is required. All the categories for a "D" must be satisfied in order to receive a "D," and so on. IF THERE IS NO NUMBER GRADE on the checklist, you are missing one of the basic requirements for the "D."

 

For a D These Required Parts Must Be Present in Recognizable Form:

____ Thesis - State an interpretation of the section you're performing.

____ Partition - Link the interpretation to each part of the body.

____ Implied Audience - How Speaker Interacts With Audience?

____ Conclusion - Leave the reader with a story, picture, or quote.

____ Correct Grammar & Syntax

____ Correct Spelling

 

For C level work add AND describe SPECIFIC PERFORMANCE BEHAVIORS (physical & vocal actions) WITH rationale for each behavior AND quotation or citation of text where it might appear:

For A level work do the above, and have a conceptually clear organization.

____ Partition (Main Point Summary) relates sections logically to thesis

____ Intro & Conclusion match, "introducing" & "closing" thesis idea

____ Author section content logically related to thesis idea

____ Restatements or transitions link thesis logically to sections

____ Behaviors logically fit section topic sentences

 

GRADE:

 

REVISIONS: YOU MUST RETURN THIS SHEET WITH REVISED WORK! DON'T LOSE IT! FOR MOST REVISIONS you can simply type the changes in the file in CAPITAL letters (so I can quickly tell which words are the changes). FOR OTHER LONGER CHANGES, like lists of behaviors or new paragraphs, just add them to the end of the paper. Add a label like "REVISED INTRODUCTION," etc., for easy identification.
