Links

I suppose that the point of a links page on a persona website is to say, "These are the things I care about, and if you like me, you would too." Well, I won't be quite that proscriptive, but I think these sites are worth paying attention to and they may give you some insight into my muddled cranium as well.

Arts and Letters Daily

  • a great roundup of news stories and editorials

FAIR

  • Fairness and Accuracy in reporting - mass media coverage
-

Milwaukee Art Museum

  • Not a bad art museum for a second-tier city, but more specifically, the stunning architecture of Santiago Calatrava

Media Musings

  • Dave Berkman's weekly column on the foolishness of media coverage of politics, &c. (Note: I can't link directly to the column - click on 'News&Views' and then 'Media Musings')
-

AVISTA

  • the society of 'what I do' - medieval technology, science, and art (mostly architecture)

De Re Militari

  • Society for Medieval Military History, for which I am the Books Editor
-

The Flat Earth Society

  • No, I'm not a cultist... unless you consider still liking Thomas Dolby a cult-like behavior (this is his website)

TIMSTIMS

The International Molinological Society... a particualr interest of mine. Mmmmm... old wooden gears...
