In the spring of 2002, while on a job interview at CalState Fullerton (which I did not get...), I took an extra day to explore the Getty Center in the Malibu hills north of Los Angeles. The trip was well worth it, from the initial tram ride up the hill, to the vistas, and even the art inside.
