Responsibilities of Officers and Council Members:

Officers: The Chair is responsible for providing leadership to RC # 12, including working with the officers to develop programs for the triennial Congress, to develop meetings between the Congresses, to explore publication opportunities for RC # 12, to assume responsibility that the web site is maintained and upgraded over time, to develop new initiatives as warranted.

The Vice-Chair assists the Chair in carrying out that position's responsibilities and taking part in decisions of other officers and of the Council.

The Secretary has responsibility for minutes at the business meetings of RC # 12, is responsible for correspondence (by surface mail and via the Research Committee's e-mail distribution list), is responsible for informing IPSA of the Research Committee's activities (e.g., through routine correspondence with Participation ), and will consider other means of communication as needed (e.g., a listserv).

The officers serve as ex officio members of the Council.

Council Members: The major responsibility of Council members is to provide advice to the officers on initiatives and proposals that the officers would adopt. The membership of the Council should be diverse enough to represent the interests of different constituencies throughout the world.
