PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
I have been active professionally. In the latter 1980s, I served as President of the New York State Political Science Association (New York State Political Science Association). In the early 1990s, I was president of the Northeastern Political Science Association. I have been on the editorial board of several journals (Polity, Women & Politics, Politics and the Life Sciences,Politics and the Life Sciences; I served as book review editor for the Journal of Social and Evolutionary Systems . I have served as Secretary and Vice-Chair of Research Committee # 12 (Biology and Politics) (Research Committee # 12 web site) of the International Political Science Association (IPSA). I am on the Council of the Association for Politics and the Life Sciences (I have been elected over time as Chair, Secretary, and Vice-Chair of APLS) (Association for Politics and the Life Sciences). In addition, I have had administrative experience. I was selected as Chair of the Division of Social Sciences at Alfred University (encompassing Political Science, Sociology, Anthropology, Public Administration, and Anthropology) and served two terms (Alfred University). As of July 1,1997 , I assumed the role of Director of the School of Public Affairs at Penn State Capital College (School of Public Affairs) and have served in that capacity since then.
