Writing, Rebellion

Writings - rants, essays, novels and handbills - have been crucial to the creative rebellions that have transformed the earth into a post-modern planet.  In this class we will examine and practice the tactics of persuasion deployed by several writers of rebellion, tactics that will be ingeniously stolen, jammed, ignored, altered and re-made in student argumentative essays.

Students will complete five short (4-6 page) writing assignments and one final revision. Class Attendance is mandatory - more than three absences will result in the loss of a full letter grade from the final grade.
