Obtaining IES Format files from GENESYS
1. Open GENESYS from the LIGHTING programs group.
2. Select PROJECT, then NEW.
3. Enter a name for the project.
4. Select SCHEDULE, then ELECT CAT.
5. Enter information for a search (such as manufacturer, luminaire class, lamp type and number of lamps). This search will need to provide fewer than 100 luminaires to permit you to proceed.
6. Highlight the luminaire of interest, click on REPORT to view pertinent details. Click on TO SCHED to select it and add it to your luminaire schedule.
7. Select ADD, then enter a character or two in the TYPE line, click OK. Click OK again to leave the luminaire schedule.
8. Select UTILITIES, then EDIT PHOTO.
9. Select FILE, then OPEN, then select the file of the name you entered in the "TYPE" field in Step 6 above.
10. To save to disk, select FILE, then SAVE AS, provide a name then click on OK.
11. Exit Genesys. Your file can be found in the C:\TEMP directory. Copy it to your own disk or workspace for future use.
