Current People:

Beth Panko Briczinski is working on her Ph.D. in Food Science. Her research involves evaluating genetic techniques for differentiation of strains of Bifidobacterium.

Nicole Kauffman is working toward her Masters degree on "Measurement of microbial growth and toxin formation of Staphylococcus aureus in milk in HTST pasteurizers during extended runs."
Matt Yurgec is a senior in Food Science. He assists with various short courses, research projects, and with the preparation of media and reagents.
Alyssa Francl is a junior in Food Science. She assists with various short courses, research projects, and with the preparation of media and reagents.

Recent Graduates:

Dave Fedorchak worked in Dr. Roberts' lab for
2 years as an undergrad, graduated in May 2004 from Food Science, is working in Product Development for Unilever in New Jersey.

Rajesh Potineni completed his Masters degree in 2002 on "Sensory Properties and Microstructure of Ice Cream Made at Different Dasher Speeds". Rajesh currently is continuing his studies as a Ph.D. student with Dr. Peterson in Flavor Chemistry at Penn State.

Percy Twine successfully completed his Masters research in 2001 on "The Construction of a Colicin E2-producing Strain of Pediococcus pentosaceus". Percy is continuing his studies in Dental School.

Shu Min Liu completed his Ph.D. research in 2001 on "Cloning and Expression of colicin E2 genes in Lactococcus lactis LM0230 and its inhibition against Escherichia coli O157:H7".
