GENERAL
NOTES

The structure of this course is lecture
with a significant amount of problem solving. Class participation,
particularly in the form of questions, is encouraged.

Attendance is very important, and you will not be able to successfully complete this course without attending class. Students are responsible for all material
covered in class during a class absence.

This course involves a significant amount of homework.
It is critical that you stay current with the
assignments, because you will find it very difficult to catch up later. Also, quizzes and tests will be similar to homework assignments.

Bring your book and calculator to every class. You will not be allowed to share during a quiz.

All quizzes will be closed book. Reference material may be permitted for the exams. You will be notified about what will be allowed for an exam.

Academic dishonesty
is a violation of the "Code of Ethics" which guides the profession of Engineering
Technology. This is a serious offense, and will be treated as such.
The first offense warrants a warning, and a zero on the assignment.
Any subsequent offense may result in a failing grade for the course,
and further disciplinary action by University Officials.
