Appointment

I am an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Penn State Harrisburg.  I started at PSH in 2002.

License

Professional Engineer--licensed in the State of Ohio

Education

PhD in Mechanical Engineering, University of Maryland, 2001

MS in Engineering Management, University of Dayton, 1982

BS in Mechanical Engineering, University of Maryland, 1978

Additional graduate study at Penn State University both University Park and Harrisburg campuses

Work experience

I have been a Senior Associate for Management Consulting Services in Lancaster, PA working in the area of industrial engineering, and I have worked on a couple of design projects for Providence Engineering also in Lancaster..

I have had teaching experience at the Harrisburg Area Community College and industry experience at Monsanto and AMP Incorporated before coming to PSH.

Family

My wife Cathy is an English teacher at Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, PA.

Cathy and I have three children: Marie Elena, Anthony, and Gina.  Marie Elena completed her BA in Journalism at the University of Maryland and works in York, PA.  Anthony and Gina are currently attending college.
