The self-anointed Master of Allusion, Kellermann is the founder and coeditor of The Lost Peruke. His stories and essays have been published in Long Shot, Brevity, Pennsylvania English, and numerous alternative publications. His memoir, It's Only Castles Burning, is a finalist for the 2004 Bakeless Prize in Creative Nonfiction.
In a previous life, Kellermann performed as a singer/songwriter, playing and recording with such anonymous bands as Slipstream, Pinky & the Parts, Smiling Palms, and the Secret Goldfish Society.
Accompanying himself on six- and twelve-string guitar, mandolin, and harmonica, Kellermann’s songs address topics as diverse as grammatical lovemaking, pedantic psychoses, daylight saving time, and religious deformities.
When not singing, writing, or vacuuming up dog hair, Kellermann teaches creative writing and pop culture at Penn State University. He was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, and plans to remain alive at least until Democrats control all three branches of the federal government.
