Remarks I delivered at the dedication of the George H. Wirt historical marker at Penn State Mont Alto on October 28, 2005
PAWS seminar on online mapping
I have studied Pennsylvania stumpage price trends. Check out the Pennsylvania Timber Market Report.
I am interested in Pennsylvania forestry history including the founding of the Pennsylvania State Forest Academy in 1903, the 19th Century Pennsylvania Forestry Association, and the establishment of a forest conservation policy in Pennsylvania. Here is a presentation on PA forest history to the SAF 2003 Convention in Buffalo, NY. (best viewed in MS Internet Explorer)
I am also interested in GIS and GPS applications in forest management. Check out my GPS Resources page.
Here are my recent publications.
