- Will collect cost of Dusktik airframes from each
student ($30 each), please bring either cash
or check. (cash would be best)
- All the models came with clear wing covering.
If you want colored covering you can get SolarFilm Lite
(SoLite) at:
mountain models or other places too.
- Will give you some information on using CA glue:
-
Click here for more information on adhesives
- CA = cyanoacrylate
- Do not get on skin or in eyes, be careful.
- Warning: Eye Irritant and Bonds Skin Instantly.
Keep out of reach of children, use in well ventilated area.
Store in a cool, dry location, with the cap on.
- Will let you practice on some scrap balsa wood
- CA glue comes in difference consistencies: thin,
medium, and thick. Thin CA almost looks like
water, but evaporates and hardens very fast.
It also runs freely into small crevices.
Medium CA bonds in about 20-30 seconds. Thick
CA bonds in 1 - 2 minutes.
- CA glue is available at any hobby shop (e.g.
Nittany Line Hobbies in State College) or from
Tower Hobbies .
A 2 oz. bottle costs about $6.
- Will start building Duskstik airframes
- Put wax paper on desk first !! (I have some)
- Always put cap back on bottle immediately after use.
- The tools required to build the Duskstiks are:

I will have some of the above supplies, but not
20 copies of the above. (i.e. you might have to share
these tools, or bring your own.)
- To fly the aircraft, we will need:
- R/C Radio (ie transmitter)
- R/C receiver
- Two micro servos
