Megatrends HX83/200MMX: Matrox Driver Ver. 3.61 vs. 3.62

HX83/512 3X75=225MHz 128M EDO MRBIOS 3.41 Symbios 875 ST34501W (Cheetah UW) FAT32

Note: The increased performance for 3.62 over 3.61 is similar to that observed for 3.62 over 3.41 (not published at this site). The CPU scores in the 3.61 32bit case are higher because the configuration was using 96M EDO with AMI 1.75 maximally tweaked. The rest of these benchmarks used 128M PEDO and MRBIOS 3.41. This latter configuration requires 60nS timing. Notice that despite higher CPU marks for V361, V362 gives considerably faster graphics. I wish Number Nine would hire Matrox's driver developement team. Judging from rumors of the Revolution, perhaps they did.

Note: The 128M PEDO configuration failed at 3X75 with a 2940UW. For this particular configuration, you need the Symbios 875. Failure of the HD controller has disastrous consequences.
