  Visual  0 Points: The images are poor resolutions, OR take too long to load, OR are missing, OR the text is hard to read.  5 Points: Colors & graphics do not relate to the intent of message. There is little consideration to typography, color, and/or layout.  10 Points: There is visual consistency throughout the entire Web site AND colors, typography, textures, layout, and images are visual metaphors of the maker's constructed self-identity.  
 Content  0 Points: The content is trivial OR there is little content to the Web site.  5 Points: It is difficult to follow the intent of the content (both visual and textual) anddifficult to find what you are looking for in the Web site.  10 Points: The viewer learns or gains something from visiting the Web site AND can easily find content he/she is seeking.  
 Text  0 Points: There are spelling and grammatical errors.  5 Points: There are no spelling and grammatical errors but the text is not interesting OR too much OR so minimal the viewer does not learn or gain from it.  10 Points: The text sings and dances OR is clear and professional AND provides informative OR stimulating content.  
 Links  0 Points: There are no links OR links do not work OR links are irrelevant.  5 Points: Linear navigation leads browser with no choices except to quit site or to move in one direction.  10 Points: Navigation is easy to understand how to use, provides multiple choices, and the navigation scheme fits the overall theme of the Web site.  
 Process  0 Points: The maker did not provide anything for a formative critique on 12/8 (did not place in folder by 12/6 noon).  3 Point: The maker provided one page of a Web site for a formative critique on 12/8 (placed in folder by noon on 12/6).  5 Points: The maker took full advantage of the formative critique by providing an overall linked structure & some pages more fully developed with layout.  
Overall  0 Points: The Web site is not interesting.  IF it seems to fall between categories score it with in-between points.  5 Points: The Web site captures and holds your attention.
