What Is This All About?

After learning about different forms of energy production, students should be able to identify the benefits and risks of several types of energy. This WebQuest provides students with that opportunity. The WebQuest provides students with the opportunity to use the internet and other resources to learn more about each of several energy sources.

What Will Be Done?

The students are given a scenario that discusses how their city is in need of more energy. It is then the students' responsibility to investigate several energy options and then choose which one is best. Specifically, each student and his or her group will: Top

What Will Be Learned?

The students will learn several things during this activity including:
  1. the pros and cons of several energy sources,
  2. the ability to analyze an energy source for risks and benefits,
  3. using the internet to research and,
  4. group work skills.
