Fonts

Most of the time you will using fonts from two broad families- serif and sans serif. Times Roman is the most common example of the first and Arial or Helvetica of the second.

Both can be modified by making them bold (bold) or in Italics (Italics).

You may also, from time to time, want to use a monospace font like Courier. It is seen most commonly to show markup and code.

Being able to embed particular fonts is possible but the technology is different for Navigator and Explorer, so it is not too useful for general use, my hope is that there will be single standard in the future.

Many of the other ways to control fonts will be taken up when we work with Cascading Style Sheets.
