MY RECENT BOOKS

RECENT PAPERS AND PROJECTS

I have a number of other book projects in mind currently, which are in more or less developed form. One is a proposal for a book I call Occult City, about alternative and New Age religion in the Philadelphia region during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

This is an article of mine called "Defender of the Faith", that appeared in the November 2003 issue of the ATLANTIC MONTHLY.

Among shorter articles, this is an essay I published on Islam in the United States.

This is an article from Catalyst on anti-Catholicism.

This is a chapter I wrote on the modern history of Pennsylvania.

The History News Network, HNN, published a piece I wrote on Christians in modern Middle Eastern politics.

And another talk I delivered on the new Southern Christianity and its implications.
