Dear Judge Mautone:

    In his letter of April 1, 2011, Assistant U. S. Attorney Jose R. Almonte indicated that he would move for dismissal of the above cases at the court appearance on May 26, 2011. Defendant will not object and will support the motion.  Presumably it will be accepted by the court.

    Since the case will be terminated, Defendant requests that his property that was seized by the arresting officers on August 25, 2010, be returned at the hearing of May 26, 2011.  Motion papers are enclosed.

    The seized property consists of: JURY INFO sign, Tote bag, and Jury info pamphlets.

I, Julian Heicklen, am the Defendant in the above entitled action, and respectfully move this Court to issue an order to the U. S. Government to return property seized by federal officers on August 25, 2010, at the U. S. District Courthouse in Newark, NJ.

The reason why Defendant is entitled to the relief that he seeks is that the U. S. Attorney will move for dismissal of charges and prosecution of Defendant at the court hearing of May 26, 2011 (See attached letter from Assistant U. S. Attorney Almonte).
