I'm a professor of English at Penn State, specializing in rhetoric and composition, scientific and technical communication, and the work of Kenneth Burke.  (That's Mr. Burke, with Charlie Mann, me, and Rosa Eberly, in the photo above, which was taken when we visited Mr. Burke at his home in Andover, NJ in 1993.)
