Gordon K. Nelson is Associate Professor of Human Development in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies (College of Health and Human Development), and is Coordinator of the 2HDFS Program at Penn State Harrisburg (Capital College). Primary responsibilities include teaching and training activities at the Schuylkill Campus where he has been a resident faculty member for 25 years. A recipient of federal vocational education grants, Dr. Nelson has taken a leadership role to develop new curriculum, training initiatives, career and entrepreneurial opportunities from child care to elder care. He is an active member of state and national professional associations for early childhood teacher preparation. He is also board editor for two professional journals in psychology with expertise in models and theories of life-span human development.
