ECNS 450: Managerial Economics
(undergraduates)

Course Description:

This course is designed to provide a working knowledge of the analytical tools of microeconomics that bear most directly on the strategic decisions managers must make, whether it be in private, public, or not-for-profit institutions. The field of managerial economics has experienced rapid growth over the past decade. This growth reflects an acknowledgment by managers, directors, consultants, and analysts that economic theory provides an effective framework for making good business decisions. The growth also represents an understanding that economic theory often integrates concepts from accounting, finance, marketing, and strategy. The course is for students who want to be effective decision-makers, and is an important introduction to the School of Business capstone course in Strategic Management.
