Ellen Foster
Curtis is Academic Division Head for the Management Division and Associate
Professor of Management and Organization at Penn State Great Valley. She
holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree from Indiana University.
Prior to joining Penn State, Dr. Foster Curtis was a performance consultant
specializing in management and leadership development for the Financial
Services, Operations, and Systems Division of Merrill Lynch. Her
academic experience includes positions at Northeastern University’s College
of Business Administration and the College of Management at the University
of Massachusetts--Lowell, where she served concurrently as Associate
Professor of Management and Director of Graduate Programs. Dr. Foster
Curtis has extensive experience in strategic management, negotiation,
management development, and the transportation industries. She has consulted
for the WIZ Distributors, Ltd., Tufts Associated Health Plans, Inc., the
Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, and several small businesses in
the Greater Lowell region of Massachusetts. Through her research she has had
frequent interaction with the transportation and high technology sectors of
the business community including AT&T and Ford Motor Company. She has
authored numerous published articles and conference presentations
