Five months a year are spent like this. Fortunately, a good portion
of the boat goes to live in the basement during this time. The hatches,
entire cockpit including the seats, cabin doors etc. get a coat of Sikkens
while waiting for spring. A cold winters evening is an ideal time
to sand and varnish spars and blocks. This of course assumes that
there isn't any iceboat work that needs to be done.
