2) The issue of radicalism shaped Japan, China and Vietnam in different ways in the 1960s and 70s. What factors shaped this radicalism and what form did this radicalism take? Were there commonalities or only differences?

3)  Looking at East Asia in 1970 it was almost unrecognizable from that of 1945. What factors do you believe most dramatically feuled change in China/Tibet, Japan and Vietnam? Do you think the citizens of each country were better off? If you had asked the citizens of each country in 1970 do you think they would agree with your assessment?
