Dear Ms. McMullin: (Courtesy Title should be used here)

I am writing this letter to provide you with a clear knowledge of the situation at
ABC Business.  Get right to the point with a Reader Centered Purpose Statement.
In this letter, I will continue with a Reader Centered Preview Statement which
tells the audience what to expect in the rest of the letter.

In the body of the letter, the writer simply continues with the information that
was laid out in the preview statement.  Each paragraph should be blocked out and
not indented.  Include lots of specifics as deals with your information and do not
let anything that might be of importance to your audience out.

Remember to maintain an audience-centered tone throughout the course of your letter
and to choose your words carefully.

Close with an expression of goodwill and give contact information.    The closing of
a letter should always look forward to continued communication.  Thank the reader and
call it a day.

Sincerely,
