Watertower Theatre, Addison, TX
While baseball may be at the center of this play, the sport simply serves as a modern metaphor for society as a whole. As the team and it's players struggle with the sexual identity of their star player, baseball holds a mirror up to society and allows the audience to see a wide variety of points of view converging in one locker room. Sonically, the biggest challenge of the play was the director and my wish to create a seamless flow of music to accompany the seamless flow of monologues and action in the script. By creating multi-layered compositions, the music could seamlessly transition from one player's 'theme' to another's without a break; this allowed the show to be one continuous flow of action, dialogue and music.
