Pennsylvania Centre Stage

The jumble of languages spoken in this play and the wide variety of cultures included in the play allowed me to have a wide ethno-sonic pallet to create music and sounds from. At the same time, the director's vision of a vast cinematic score to accompany the scale of the play enabled me to compose in a grand style that theatrical composers do not often have the opportunity to use. From the somber opening of the play until the character's final moments when they realize that their discovery is lost, the play arches through a series of events that questions our understanding of human history.
