101 Stars

2010. Machine-pieced. Hand-quilted. 44.5 inches by 44.5 inches

This is an adaptation of a Sue Garman Block of the Month that was published in 2009 at The Quilt Show. The original quilt, Stars for a New Day, was 85 inches square. Mine is a half-size version.

The blue-and-white bands are all fabrics that were made in batik workshops in the Slovak Republic. All other fabrics came from my stash.

Quilt shows:
2011. Three Rivers Quilt Show, Pittsburgh, PA. First place, Wall Hanging/Pieced, Solo.
2011. Exhibited at Quilting in the Garden, Livermore, CA.
2012. 43rd Annual Quilt Show of the National Quilting Association, Columbus, OH. Second place, Scrap Quilt.
