As a DINK couple (Double Income, No Kids)

Heidi was on call for Corning Easter weekend in 1998, so her Mom and Todd came up to visit since she couldn't go home. We all went for a hike at Shaver's Creek and rented a canoe. It was a lot of fun and helped Heidi take her mind off the fact that her beeper could go off at any minute.

Two goofballs in love...

Right before Christmas, 1997, Heidi and Pat (Scott's Mom) visited Longwood Gardens in southeastern Pennsylvania. It was such a treat to see the beautiful flowers and trees and it gave Scott and his Dad a chance to go Christmas shopping. Now THAT is important!

You can certainly tell that Heidi and Scott had no kids at this point, because if they had, they would have known that having somebody hand out Halloween candy in this get-up would scare all of the kids away! Live and learn...

Heidi graduated with honors from Penn State with a bachelor's in electrical engineering in May, 1997. So THIS is when the double income part of D.I.N.K. came into play:-)
