Ron Lueth called the meeting to
order at 7:00 PM. Mr. Tom Majewski was in attendance as a new member. Tom has a
laser cutting business (thelasercutter.com). Chris Golembeski and his mom, Trish
attended as guests. Chris is a teenager interested in expanding his involvement
in the hobby. SCRC welcomes all new members and visitors!

Field
Search Committee. No new developments.

SCRC’s
proposed basic R/C aircraft course for OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning
Institute). Al Niessner had nothing new to report. We’re just waiting to hear
if they receive sufficient interest.

Ron
advised us of the AMA’s new membership drive. There are prizes to be won. For
example, each winning club can receive $500 and a banner for their club. Ron
has flyers from the AMA and A.J. Jaffe offered to hand them out at Nittany Line

Bob
Grove rolled the entire airfield. Woody rolled the turf in the model aircraft
area and will probably roll it again. Thank you Woody and Bob!

recruited air show committee members. Ron Lueth will be chairman this year and

reminded everyone that the June meeting (Tuesday, 6/2/09) will be held at the
SCRC flying field.
Tom Majewski gave us an overview of
his laser cutting business. Tom cuts, engraves and etches a wide variety of
materials. He can laser cut wood up to ¾” thick and cut plastic up to 3/8”
thick. The material can be up to 36 inches wide and the maximum length is practically
unlimited. Tom can use your cad drawings or work from various drawing file

motion to adjourn passed at 7:40 PM. Woody Struble won the 50/50 drawing
splitting $18.00 with the club.
