Prior to the Airshow, an aerial survey of the field was made by Bill Hatchner with his camera equipped Telemaster.  The following photos show the flying site as viewed from the air.  A plane's eye view of the pilot is also shown!  Thanks Bill for the fine photos.

The camera equipped Telemaster. makes a pass over the western end of the flying field.

Field Down Wind.jpg (99205 bytes)

An airplane's view of the center of the flying field as the plane makes its downwind approach.

A look at the Telemaster's pilot, Bill Hatchner, during the downwind pass.  Note that Bill is the person on the left, holding the transmitter.

Bill was assisted by Fred Knoffsinger while taking the photographs of the field.  Fred must have been giving oral instructions since he appears to have his hands behind his back!

The photos shown below were taken on August 15th at the SCRC Flying Field.  Since I, the webmaster, was on the West Coast during the months of July and August, the photos from the Airshow were contributed by other club members.  If you have, or know of anyone with additional photos, please let me know.

This 1999 event was attended by over 200 spectators.  It has been reported that the Air Show refreshment stand made a profit!  Not too bad since the club is usual not so fortunate!  Hugh Zinsmeister thanked the ladies who helped in the food stand at the air show. Lucy Struble, Avis Jones, and Lynn Zinsmeister - your help was truly appreciated! Thanks again!

Woody's Airforce.jpg (69763 bytes) Relaxed pilot.jpg (69767 bytes)
Woody always puts on a fine flying demo with his many and varied models.
Wil Coder (I believe) with several of his own design models.  A quite relaxed mood while having lunch.
Jeff Favuzza's Fleet.jpg (59800 bytes) Greg Poorman.jpg (101882 bytes)
Several of Jeff's scale models.  You have to see them in person to really appreciate his building and finishing skills.
Greg's unique, good looking, semi scale F-16 model that made a fine flight performance during the show.
