NNNHALLOWEEN PHOTOSNNN
Here is a collection of a few of my recent Halloween costumes.  Each year I try to come up with a costume that outdoes the previous year.  I'm not sure that my costumes are getting better each year, though.  Judge for yourself.

1995:  My first costume in the EE Department.  I dressed up as my boss.  I'm the one on the right.  In case you're wondering, I wasn't fired.  This costume served double duty -- I wore it to a party later that night and told everyone that I was dressed as Sean Connery.

1996:  My FAVORITE costume to date.  I dressed up as a baby riding on the back of a grandmother.  This costume had the office staff laughing hysterically all day.  I don't think anyone got any work done that day.  Every time someone would walk by my office, they would crack up.

1997:  I dressed up as an executioner.  The costume itself wasn't anything special.  However, the severed hand that I'm holding was really neat -- it's my actual hand.  The gloved hand holding it is fake.  I would keep the severed hand really still and then suddenly make it twitch.  A few people just couldn't figure out HOW I was able to make that hand move like that.  Rumor has it that I accidentally freaked out a student who came to my office to ask a question.

1998:   Another optical illusion type of costume. (Do you see a pattern developing?)  Here I'm dressed up as a headless skeleton.  If you're astute, you would recognize the person next to my as my boss from the 1995 photograph.  This costume was VERY uncomfortable.  I couldn't eat or talk all day.

1999:  Yet ANOTHER optical illusion costume.  This year, I was a cannibal's dinner.  I was really in hot water because of this costume.  Unlike 1998, I could eat and talk in this costume.   I couldn't sit down, though.

2000:  This year we did a group theme, The Addams Family:  Grandmama, Wednesday, Pugsly, Cousin Itt (me!), and Gomaz (holding Thing) were all present.  Morticia was a party pooper and refused to wear her costume.  My "Cousin Itt" costume was extremely hot.  Once again, I couldn't sit down or eat in this costume.  Maybe next year I'll go back to a functional costume . . .  Nah!

2001:  Our departmental theme this year was Nursery Rhymes.  I decided to go as Little Miss Muffett and the Spider (who sat down beside her).  I basically reused  my 1996 costume, but created a large papier mache spider body to hide the babies body.  The legs came from Lowe's (the spider's legs, not MY legs).

Here are a couple of Halloween group photos of the Electrical Engineering Department:
